I am Brian Hawkins, a father of four and husband to my Bride! I am the worship leader at 316 Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I took my first guitar lesson when I was 8 and loved it so much that I eventually became a guitar builder. I have an understanding of all aspects of the guitar, and the importance of a good set up to match the person playing it. It is a whole lot easier to improve on the guitar when it is set up to play with ease, whether it is a $100 guitar or a $2500 guitar, the set up of that instrument is vital. I am part of a team of three teachers who are all commited to make you the best player you can be in the shortest amount of time possible. We teach you how to create and not just duplicate! When you understand the guitar, how it works and you gain a logical understanding of the fretboard, you can learn to play anything you put your mind do. We keep it educational, fun and real. We will teach you how to play the music you like (unless you like nursery rhymes---we don't do that!). Whether you (or your child) are interested in taking beginner guitar lessons or more advanced guitar lessons, we have the guitar teacher that is right for you. Our Guitar lessons are taught in your home, for your convenience and we cover the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and Portsmouth areas.
